But we’re so much more than a group of coin collectors – our members also collect paper money, medals, tokens and numismatic books! (There may even be a few stamp collectors amongst us!) We have beginning collectors, advanced collectors and collectors at every stage in between – you’ll never be “out of place” as a member of the Shreveport Coin Club.
One of the strengths of the Shreveport Coin Club is the diversity of its members. With so many different areas of collecting interest among its membership, you’re sure to find a kindred spirit within our friendly group.

The club’s biggest project is the annual Ark-La-Tex Coin, Stamp & Card Exposition, which takes place on a weekend in late July. In recent years, over 50 numismatic dealers from several states have attended, offering patrons the biggest array of coins and currency they will find under one roof in three states (Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi) and one competitive with many shows in neighboring Texas. A smaller but very active contingent of stamp and sports card dealers round out the bourse floor, offering a wide variety of traditional and distinctive collectibles for all ages and interests.
The Ark-La-Tex Coin, Stamp & Card Expo also serves an educational mission, with exhibits on numismatic and philatelic topics. Recent exhibits have featured Morgan Dollars, northwest Louisiana exonumia (tokens, doubloons, scrips, etc.), autographs of Louisiana governors, exotic animals on international stamps, and other topics. Most exhibits are self-explanatory, but club members can direct patrons to exhibitors to answer their questions.
Our monthly meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of the month at the Bossier History Center, 2206 Beckett St.. See map for location of library.
2206 Beckett Street, Bossier City, Louisiana 71111, United States
